Can I sell property in Albania with a power of attorney signed abroad?
Yes, provided it is a special power of attorney, signed before a notary or consul, apostilled or legalised (when signed before a foreign notary) and translated and notarised into Albanian. We review the text so it isn't rejected.
How long is a power of attorney valid?
It depends on the wording and on the institution where it is presented. Some institutions may require a recently issued power of attorney, so we recommend stating the validity period clearly in the text.
